Team Lead of Backend Development UDF Team

At TradingView Core Cluster, we are looking for a Team Lead who will help develop and manage one of our key backend teams that supports and evolves a high-load, geo-distributed platform for delivering streaming information about trading instruments—from data providers to our clients.

The platform’s services are distributed across around twenty locations worldwide and process tens of terabytes of information every day.

In this position, you will be regularly designing architectures for new features, conducting code reviews, improving current development processes, and translating business requirements into clear technical tasks. Of course, you will also have to write code, but that is not the primary focus.

The platform is written in Golang; however, we do not require prior experience with this language. We believe that for a talented engineer, mastering another programming language won’t be a problem.

Responsibilities:

• Product Management: Analyze and validate incoming requests for new features, translate them into specific technical and product requirements, and ensure they align with the company’s business goals
• Collaboration: Work closely with other development teams to ensure smooth integration and timely implementation of features
• Coordination: Collaborate with the project manager to align technical implementation with product strategy and deadlines
• Recruitment: Participate in the hiring process by conducting technical interviews and assisting new employees during onboarding
• Architecture Oversight: Oversee system design with a focus on architectural integrity and team collaboration
• Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews
• Team Development: Hold regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and support the growth of the team
• DevOps Coordination: Work with DevOps engineers to organize an efficient release process and set up CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in backend development of distributed, high-load, multi-threaded services using one of the following: Go, C++, Java, Kotlin, C#
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tech Lead / Team Lead (with a focus on architecture, team motivation, and development)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across different departments
• A solid understanding of distributed system design patterns and network protocols
• Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
• Experience in designing APIs and microservices architecture
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• English proficiency of at least B1
• Proficiency in Russian
