In addition to the drives of the TBM's, there is a construction of over 300 shafts which will later become permanent manholes for the jacking and recovery of the TBM's. ------- The role is to manage all aspects of the Contract, from payments from the Client to commercial negotiations with Sub-Contractors. Strabag - Zublin International - ------- This project is the Design and Construction of a Utility system spanning a length of 8,662m. Within the tunnel system we are responsible for all services including but not limited to potable water, fire & irrigation, chilled water, telecommunication, fire alarm systems and IT network. My role is defined as a variation and claims manager. I administer claims for the company which are deemed to be additional to the original contract and main scope of work. This involves the following: * Preparing all backup information in relation to claims. * Pricing of variations. * Management of Quantity Surveyors for daily QS duties. * Writing narratives and citing contractual clauses for entitlement. * Providing evidence of completed work. * Negotiating claims with PQS and Client representatives. In addition to this I also price and negotiate Client Change Requests and liaise with other departments for additional time and cost implications. This was a major civil's project that was based at Westport in Amsterdam.
