1. Actively ensure that his / her own health & safety and the health & safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times. 2. Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/ customer HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures. 3. Manage laboratory staff, facilities and services. 4. Communicate with Corporate Engineering to ensure compatibility of products and information. 5. Ensure full product, safety and environmental information is available throughout business units. 6. Co-ordinate, suggest and develop solutions and techniques for operational problems/opportunities as required. 7. Provide cost effective and efficient laboratory services for business unit. 8. Carry out laboratory and overall support work in relation to all Company operations as necessary. 9. Carry out engineer’s duties in the engineer’s absence. 10. Discussion of laboratory reports and test results with engineers and clients. 11. Development of laboratory test procedures and services. 12. Review laboratory QA procedures. 13. Review equipment calibration intervals.

1. Maintainence laboratory equipment and work areas in a safe condition and should ensure that equipment maintenance records are being maintained. 2. Ensure full awareness and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant Company/customer QHSE Handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures 3. Training the new members of lab personnel 4. Calibration of laboratory equipment and completion of equipment calibration records. 5. Safe use and control of all laboratory samples, chemicals and reagents in line with current health and safety legislation and Company procedures. 6.
